Our Story
A new church in Rhode Island was a long time coming. In early 2009, Jerry and Julie Dusenberry moved to Rhode Island with the goal of starting a new church in the Blackstone Valley. Not long after that, Jordan and Sammy Plumier, along with Chris and Jessalyn Link joined the team that would relocate to Rhode Island to join the work God already had begun. We all moved here from the Midwest (Indiana and Illinois), leaving family, friends, and all things familiar to embark on a new journey together.
Since that time, we have become a part of our communities, and consider Rhode Island our home now. We live in Lincoln, Cumberland, and Pawtucket. We are still learning and enjoying the many things that make Rhode Island unique. Mostly, we are developing relationships with people who have sensed that they might be ready to try something new. A new church is a great place to start.
After looking at other options for office and worship space, the people of CinemaWorld and the Lincoln Mall made us feel like this was the best place to start the church.
Restoration House Ministries in Manchester, New Hampshire, has a vision of a transformed spiritual landscape in New England, primarily through planting new churches. NorthPointe Christian Church is a chapter in that unfolding vision.
